I spent over 30 years working as a legal secretary.  Over the years, I have written poems, but never had I thought I wanted to publish a book until a few years ago.  I remember my friend telling me a story about her granddaughter and the challenges she had with dealing with her hair.  I went home that evening and wrote a poem, along with blank pages that gave a description of what type of art would be on the following page.  I shared the “book” the next day with my friend.  She encouraged me to write the book.  Unfortunately, I never got a chance to complete the task because I could not find an illustrator; so, I put the book away. Throughout the years, I have written a few “books,” but was too busy working my full-time job to give it any real effort.  Upon taking early retirement, I decided to travel to Africa.  It is there that I started writing again, found a talented illustrator, and investigated self-publishing.  I plan to travel more and write more.  Continue to follow me on this journey as I share Africa with you from my viewpoint...
